Keep your website content rich
If you want your users to keep coming back then visuals are not enough, you need to keep posting fresh and important content that will keep your users updated. It is equally important to offer content in an interesting way that holds the users' attention.

1 Is social media marketing a temporary trend?

Social media marketing is currently a very popular trend in Internet marketing, and it is essential for businesses seeking to expand their web presences and reach out to more potential customers. Businesses, bloggers, consumers and other demographics utilize social media for networking and promotional purposes. The amount of people using social media on a daily basis and the amount of updates occurring across platforms at any given moment makes utilizing social media imperative to anyone interested in connecting with a large amount of people at no or a low cost.

Social media will most likely continue to exist for a great while, as it has already existed and grown for a number of years. Unless it is replaced with something better, more efficient and more effective at captivating people, social media will continue to be something people use on a daily basis to express their thoughts, communicate with others and learn about new things going on in their immediate networks, in their cities, in their nations and in the world.

However, even if social media were to be replaced with something different tomorrow, it would most likely build off of elements of social media that already exist. The connections you make today on social media will make impacts that can transfer and continue across any new platforms created. As people create new profiles, they will most likely still want to see content from other people and businesses in their lives they cared about before. This means if you were to create a profile on this futuristic platform not yet created, your current followers on your social media profiles should also make connections with you on the new platform, if you networked with them and forged relationships with them in the right way to begin with.

The ground social media has broken in terms of social interactions and the way businesses market to people cannot be retracted. People and businesses have changed the way they do things in a permanent sense. It is best to learn and master social media marketing now. It is constantly being changed and updated, but it is simple to figure out the best way to connect with people across specific platforms. Optimizing content is easy if you work with it as often as you should to get your business seen and build relationships with consumers.

Though social media itself may be temporary, the ways connections are made throughsocial media marketing strategies might be able to assist in your current pursuits and advance your brand in the future. Progress, in terms of the way people connect and the time people spend together in a virtual sense, will not regress. Businesses will still need to find ways to communicate sincerity and legitimacy through social communities on the Internet. Overall, businesses will need to follow their target audiences to whatever services they are using and subscribing to, in order to connect with them and market to them. Social media already allows businesses to connect with consumers at any given time. What might the future hold?

1 How to save money on car maintenance

For many of us, cars are a vital part of our everyday lives. Unfortunately though, looking after a car and keeping it running can be very expensive. You can keep your costs to a minimum, however, if you are careful with your money when it comes to car maintenance.

Shop around for the best price
Both garages and mobile mechanics will charge very different prices for jobs to be done, so it is well worth ringing a few different companies to get a list of quotes. Then, you can look through and see where is the best place to go. Just remember, don’t travel so far that it is not worth the saving you make on the work being done. There is no point in travelling miles and miles to save £20 if it’s going to cost you that much in gas.

Drive carefully
Your car really will gain a lot more general wear and tear if you don’t drive sensibly. Try and drive economically, and don’t speed, constantly brake sharply or skid. Also, try not to use more force than is necessary with your gearstick, handbrake, or doors.

Do what you can yourself
Some people go to garages for simple top-ups of screen wash, and new light bulbs. This is completely unnecessary, and expensive. If you’re not sure how to do something, then you should refer to the owner’s manual, which will be full of helpful information, including what types of parts you need. This makes it possible to buy and fit parts yourself. If you no longer have the manual, then ask someone in the know to show you how to do it, or look it up online. But if you really must take your car to a mechanic, why not ask them to show you how to do things so you can do it for yourself the next time around?

Use your contacts
It’s often all about who you know, not what not you know. Whether you know a mechanic personally, or your next-door-neighbor’s aunt’s brother-in-law knows someone who can fix your car for you, use your contacts to get yourself the best price. Many mechanics will do special rates for friends and family members and for more distant contacts if they offer to recommend them to others.
The other advantage of using a mechanic that has been recommended or that you know is that they are far less likely to try and rip you off. Sadly, if a mechanic realizes that you have very little knowledge about cars, they can sometimes invent a lot of problems that your car doesn’t have so that they can get more money off of you.

Share your skills
If someone down the road knows a lot more about cars than you do, then why not ask them to help you with your car in return for sharing some of your time or expertise with them? You could offer to babysit for them, do some gardening, or anything useful that you have to offer.

Check your tire air pressure
Both under inflation and over inflation can cause problems for your car, so check the air pressure regularly. You should do this when your tires are cool, if possible, so the readings are accurate. If you tires are at the right pressure, you won’t only save money on maintenance but on fuel too!

Make sure you have a spare tire
It would be silly to have to pay for your car to be towed or serviced at the roadside simply because you didn’t have a spare tire in the trunk.

4 Tips For Getting A Car Loan With Bad Credit

Tips For Getting A Car Loan With Bad Credit
Even though getting a car loan with bad credit might be difficult, it is not impossible. Thankfully, there are many things that someone with bad credit can do to help get him or her approved for a new vehicle. Finding a loan with less-than-perfect credit will take some time and work. Keep in mind that most car loans obtained with bad credit will come with higher interest rates and less desirable loan terms compared to loans for people with good credit. Below are some tips and guidelines to help in obtaining a car loan with bad credit.

Use a Co-Signer

One of the easiest ways to get approved for a new car loan with bad credit is to co-sign with someone that has good credit. This may sound easier than it really is, though. Being a co-signer can be a risky thing. If the other signer fails to make payments on the loan, the co-signer will be held responsible for the payments. There are many advantages to getting a co-signer on an auto loan. These may include a lower interest rate, better loan terms and the ability to get approved much easier.

Large Down Payment
A great way to try and improve the chances of getting approved for a car loan with bad credit is to have a big down payment. The smaller the loan amount, the less risk there is for the lender. A lender decides whether or not to approve a loan based on the amount of risk there is. If a borrower can come up with a good size down payment, it shows that they were being smart with their money. Another benefit of saving up for a large down payment is that the loan payments will be smaller and the amount paid in interest will be less over the course of the loan.

Better Credit Score
To have the best possible chances at getting approved for a car loan, a borrower should wait until they improve their credit score. Even just half a year to a year can make a different in a credit score. The better the score it, the better chances at getting approved for a car loan is going to be.
Another benefit of waiting to apply for a car loan is because the interest rate will be lower based on your improved credit. This can mean a lot of savings over the life of the loan.
Research
Oftentimes, people will give up after being turned down for a car loan at their bank or credit union.
Thankfully, there are other places to turn to for loans for those with bad credit. With a quick search online, car loan shoppers will find many lenders willing to work with people who have less-than-perfect credit. Each lender is different and the borrower should take their time researching what each lender has to offer. Even with bad credit, it is still wise to shop for the best deal. Shopping for a new car loan online is the best possible way to finding a lender ready to approve.

0 Who Needs FTP?

Back when I was a geeky teenager in the 1990's, we didn't have Facebook or Tumblr. If we wanted to share our pictures with our friends we had to make our own web pages and then upload them to angelfire or other long gone hosts. That's where I first ran into FTP, and it used to drive me crazy. File Transfer Protocol was the go-to for updating your blog or page, and at that point it had been around since before the Internet even existed. It was a clunky and out-dated way to transfer files in 1996! Today, I try to avoid using FTP whenever possible.

A History of "Oops..."

FTP clients have become a lot more attractive and easy to use since their origins as text-only command line apps. You'd think they would have become easier to use, right? Ask any tech support person who has been in the game for a long time, FTP has caused headaches from the beginning. However, you often can't blame FTP. User error has always been a common source of the problem. The Internet is full of entertaining tales from tech support workers "face-palming" while coaching users through FTP permissions and transfers. The source of the confusion can only be speculated. If you are expecting a file transfer, you better hope the person on the other end knows what they are doing.

Who is in Charge Here?

When they first made FTP, it wasn't designed with security in mind. There simply were too few threats. But as the Internet and our uses for it grew, so did the threats. Many services provide blanket fixes to the myriad security threats, but the protocol itself remains unchanged. This means that your transfer is only as secure as the people in charge of the server. It was recently reported in the news that IEEE, a popular organization for technology researchers including NASA scientists, had an embarrassing hole in their security. The logins and passwords for all of their members were saved in a document publicly available on their FTP server, so even the biggest tech-heads make potentially costly mistakes with FTP.

Dead Ends

Managing my documents is becoming something I do more and more on my smartphone, and less on my home and office computers. With developers focusing on "cloud computing" seamlessly integrated with smartphones and PDA's this is becoming easier and easier. By embracing the new technology we make sharing that much easier, and we don't need to be tied to our desks to be productive either. The day will inevitably come where the old ways are abandoned by professionals, so you might as well purge FTP from your working routine now. You won't lose business being FTP-capable, but you might if that's your primary option.

You might hear some die-hard geeks defending FTP's efficiency. Sure, FTP isn't particularly taxing on your computer, but the average cell phone has more processing power than the computers that were in use when FTP was the new thing. Today we measure efficiency in sharing power, not in processing power.

1 How To Keep Your Blog Relevant To The Topic?

Keeping Your Blog TopicalA blog owner who updates twice a week will need to come up with more than 100 ideas for posts every year. Those who update once a day will need a full 365 ideas per year! With such a drain on the creative mindset, is it any wonder that some bloggers work on their posts ahead of time?

However, this can lead to blog posts that do not accurately reflect what is going on in the world when they are published, leading to reduced traffic and diminishing readership.

So, how can you keep your blog topical?

Keep a Varied Bank of Articles
While planning out your blog posts weeks in advance can lead to irrelevant postings when it is time for publication, this does not mean that you cannot do some work ahead of time. However, it does mean you will need a more varied selection of potential posts.

For example, let’s say you have a blog about finding affordable clothing online. You could have a few stock posts ready to go on navigating sales, finding discounts and buying second hand. When it is time to publish, you might see that there is a sale on Aryn K dresses currently ongoing. You can quickly and easily customize the most appropriate post to refer to this sale, keeping your blog topical while still allowing you to produce the bulk of the post ahead of time.

Sign Up for Press Releases
Numerous websites exist that allow you to sign up for press releases in particular areas or on topics that are relevant for your blog. You can also contact individual companies in your industry and ask them to add you to their distribution list when they send out their press releases.

These services allow you to stay on the ball and up to date with the latest industry happenings, so that you have quick access to topical, relevant news. Don’t forget to do your fact-checking and own research though, as gaining a reputation for regurgitating press releases can be worse than being known for being a day behind the curve.

Plan for Major Events
Certain events are publicized well ahead of time, and others are those that happen at the same time each year. Knowing that Halloween is coming up, for example can prompt a pet blogger to look for new research on what to do if your dog eats chocolate or how to help nervous pets cope with the sound of fireworks.
By planning for these big events you can more quickly make a relevant blog post that is totally up-to-date, as you know exactly what extra information you need to give your post that last-minute edge.

This is a guest post by Carl who blogs on technology from finding affordable clothing online at affordable online boutiques to blogging.

1 How to Get Games Cheaper ?

Many of us just love finding great deals on the products that we want, from the fashion aware who know all the sites where they can get affordable clothing online or voucher codes for Aryn K dresses to the tech-savvy gadget geeks who build their own computers. If you want to know how to get videogames for the very best price, take a look at these tips.

Buy Physical Media Rather Than Digital Downloads
This seems pretty unintuitive, as buying a digital download can sometimes be cheaper than picking up the physical copy of the game. However, you have to think about things long-term. When you download a game that is it. You can play it, but once you have finished the game or grown bored of it you can do nothing but delete it off your hard drive.

By contrast, a physical game can be sold on to someone else, whether it be to a friend, over eBay or by trading it in to a store. In the long run this can significantly cut the costs of your games.

Wait for A Deal
With all the hype around new game releases it can be difficult not to give in to the temptation and buy a new game on release day for full price. Games are always going to be more expensive when they first come out, and many people are happy to pay the premium that early access gives them.

However, before you splurge on a new game ask yourself if the increased price is really worth it? Waiting a few months could let you get the game for brand new for half the price or even less if you buy it second-hand.

This principle also applies to sales, often by waiting until the last day of the sale you can get the game for cheaper than the initial price – especially on Steam sales where the game you want may feature as a super-cheap daily deal.

Buy in Bulk
You can often get games cheaper if you buy in bulk. For example, Steam often offers four-packs of games for a discount compared to purchasing each game directly. This allows you to go in with three friends so that you can all get a discount. Playing with friends can often be more fun anyway!

Similarly, retailers and distributors will often offer bundles of similar games or of a single game and its extra content with the overall price being lower than the sum of the individual parts. This can work out more economically, but beware of the ‘false deal’ – if you wouldn’t have bought those games separately you’re not actually getting a discount, you might even end up paying more!
